Halifax Armouries Coat of Arms

During the winter of ’20/’21 I was working on these wonderful carvings for the Halifax Armouries in Nova Scotia. Below are the stones I was contracted to replace. You can see how badly deteriorated they are after over 100 years of exposure to the elements. These stones are face bedded which is the main reason why they have weathered so much compared the the top half of the Coat of Arms which is still intact.

After nearly 300 hours of carving the pieces are finished and ready to send to Nova Scotia.
